We began the excursion feeding the animals, which Jacob had mixed feelings about. He was very curious about the goats and longhorns, but had absolutely no desire to be anywhere close to them!!
Next, we ventured into the pumpkin patch to choose a pumpkin to come home with us. Just as we entered the patch, one of the hayrides was going by. As many of you know, Jacob is completely obsessed with tractors, so that took his complete attention!
Once the tractor was out of Jacob's eyesite, it was back to the task at hand. There were many pumpkins to choose from and Jacob had a hard time narrowing down his search! He finally settled on a perfectly round pint-sized pumpkin with a nice stem which made it easy to carry.
We walked around the farm a bit more to visit more animals, but we were disappointed that we couldn't let Jacob run free due to the mud. Our visit last year was quite different because he was only crawling and the weather was much warmer and better for photo opportunities!
The crowds began to pick up (along with the cool wind) and our shoes were caked with mud, so we took a few more pictures and decided to head home. Even though our visit was brief, we were so happy to make our annual (this was our second!) trip to the farm.
