Introducing...Crunchy Cakes!

After searching high and low for a cute, eco-friendly diaper cake and finding nothing, I decided to start up a little shop and make my own. I teamed up with my sister-in-law Catherine and created Crunchy Cakes using only top of the line products. We use brands such as Seventh Generation, Under the Nile, Born Free, and California Baby. To check out our products, visit us at www.crunchy-cakes.blogspot.com.

Quarantined
Jacob has RSV. Oh, and double ear infections. Luckily, it's relatively minor and we caught it quickly but nevertheless, we are stuck at home for the next two weeks. Instead of music, playdates, and shopping our days consist of breathing treatments four times a day. Joy.In honor of RSV, we thought we'd share a few facts courtesy of Web MD...
RSV Fun Fact #1: Respiratory syncytial virus infection, usually called RSV, is a lot like a bad cold. It causes the same symptoms. And like a cold, it is very common and very contagious. Most children have had it at least once by age 2.
RSV Fun Fact #2: Like a cold virus, RSV attacks your nose, eyes, throat, and lungs. It spreads like a cold too, when you cough, sneeze, or share food or drinks.
RSV Fun Fact #3 : When a person with RSV is otherwise healthy, symptoms usually get better in a week or two.
RSV Fun Fact #4: To help reduce your child's risk of respiratory problems, see that your child gets all of his or her vaccines, especially Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) and diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis (DTaP).
RSV Fun Fact #5: Researchers are trying to develop a vaccine to prevent infection with RSV. Currently, no vaccine is available.
