Weekend at the Lake

This past weekend, we were extremely fortunate to get out of town and spend time at a house directly on Possum Kingdom Lake with the Cox family. Jacob's Uncle Davis and Auntie Amanda flew in all the way from New York and it was a great time just hangin' out and enjoying the cooler October weather!

Travelin' Man

A few months ago, we purchased this adorable little red car for Jacob. We knew it would be some time until he could fully take advantage of all it's wonderful qualities and for several months, it has just sat in our game room. After a few days of recovery from croup, Jacob began showing interest in the car and experimenting with it. This is what we got...one very happy and mobile boy! It's only a matter of time before he's running around the house!!

10 Months Old!!

Unfortunately, Jacob didn't have a fabulous birthday this month! He went to see Dr. Frank on Tuesday only to find out that he had croup (yet again!). Poor guy spent his birthday coughing, weezing, and sleeping. He was also on the BRAT diet due to an upset tummy. Below is the only picture I got of him smiling, which is highly unusual for my happy little boy!!

This only has to fit for two more months...

9 Month pictures

Last Friday, we met our photographer, Terry, at the Dallas Arboretum for Jacob's 9 month pictures. It was the perfect Autumn morning with a chill in the air and pumpkins galore.

Big Orange Pumpkin Farm

We decided to take advantage of the beautiful Autumn weather on Saturday and met some friends out at the Big Orange Pumpkin Farm in Celina. It was a great way to spend the morning, feeding the animals, going on a hayride and taking lots of pictures!

Daddy and Jacob are ready for a fun day on the farm!

Jacob's not so sure about the Longhorn. Frankly, momma isn't either!

Jacob seemed to recognize the goats, since he fed some earlier in the week. These were much larger though!

Picture time!

Fun on the Farm

Today after music class, we went to the Owens Family Farm in Richardson with some friends. It was a beautiful day since it seems that Autumn has finally arrived (for now!).

Music class always seems to wear the kiddos out, so they just relaxed in their strollers for a bit when we first arrived on the farm. Little Natalie (r) was fast asleep until we made our way to the goats!

Jacob wasn't so sure about the goats to begin with, he wanted to watch first. As you can see, Beau got right on in there to feed those hungry goats!

Jacob finally wanted to stand near the goats but couldn't decide whether he was afraid of the goats, or if they were his buddies. Poor guy didn't know what to think!

Maybe they aren't too bad after all...

After feeding the goats, Jacob went on his first hayride with his friends Beau and Natalie. They loved having the wind in their hair and enjoying the sunshine!

Our next adventure was picking our own pumpkin to take home! Jacob chose a little round one, just like him! He loved playing with his pumpkin and showing his friends!

Last but not least, it was time for a few more pictures. The babies were all so well behaved the entire morning, we decided not to push our luck and left soon after our photo shoot!

All in all, it was a great morning outdoors. Jacob is so excited that the weather is finally cooling down and he can spend more time outside playing with his friends. He loved going to his first pumpkin patch and looks forward to many more in the years to come! Happy Autumn!!!
