Party Animal

Yesterday, Jacob helped celebrate his friend Anna's second birthday at Gymboree in Plano. The afternoon began with a bit of trepidation as he took in all the sights, but he soon became comfortable and loved climbing and running around! It was such a fun afternoon and truly tuckered him out!!

Jess did an amazing job creating the decor for Jacob's party and I'm so excited that she's helping me with his second birthday party as well! Summertime Playdate

Jacob just loves when his friend Sam comes over to play! With temperatures already in the 90s by 10am, we decided to have fun in the water to stay nice and cool. The boys loved playing with the beach ball sprinkler, sand and water table (which we simply call the water water table!), and the swing set. They were certainly tuckered out after the morning outside!!

18 Months Old!

It's hard to believe that I am no longer the mom of a baby...I now have a little boy! Jacob is such a sweetie and so much fun to be with each and every day!

He has really begun to play like a little boy, becoming more rough and tumble each day. He loves to pretend play and run around and climb. I definitely have my hands full! Lucky for me, he still loves to cuddle and give hugs and kisses!!

Petting Zoo

Last week, Jacob participated in our church's Tiny Tots n' Tunes Music Camp. He had taken the music class all last year and really enjoyed the mini camp as well!

On the last day of camp, they had a carnival for all the babies and toddlers that included all of our favorite songs and activities from the week. At the end of the carnival, we got to visit a little petting zoo they had set up outside. Jacob was very unsure and nervous to begin with, even backing up when an animal came his way. As time went on, he became simple intrigued with the animals and loved it!

Jacob loved that Daddy came to the carnival with him and had a great time smiling for the camera!

Destruct-o Strikes Again...

Splish Splash

Well, it seems as though summer is really here, with temperatures reaching into the 90s yesterday. Luckily, Mim and Poppa live close enough for Jacob be to able to enjoy the cool water of the pool!

We weren't sure how he'd like it since this was his first venture into the pool this season. After a bit of trepidation, he warmed up to the idea and ended up have a great time splashing in his boat and swimming with either Daddy or Poppa!

Friday Morning at the Mall

Daddy was home from work today, so we decided to go to the mall and do some shopping and playing!

Our first stop was the play area where Jacob loved climbing and exploring...

Next up, it was time for a ride on the carousel with Daddy...

And of course, no trip to the mall is complete without a stop in PBK where Jacob enjoyed sitting in one of their chairs...

Fun with Friends

On Saturday evening, Jacob got to spend some time with his friend Anna and her new baby brother, Joseph. They had such a fun time together playing!

And one year ago! Where has the time gone??

Jacob was practically crawling in Joseph's swing! Too bad they don't make them for toddlers!

The first several times we went to the Spitzenbergers' house, Jacob was terribly afraid of their two dogs Eddie and Kramer. This time around, however, he seemed to build up enough courage to actually touch them! He loved to watch them and giggle, but was still unsure if they approached him. We really hope this bravery continues, we really don't want him to be afraid of dogs!

At one point in the evening, this was the closest Jacob would get to Eddie!

A few hours later and he was actually touching him!
