Attack of the Killer Bunny
Today was the last day of music camp at church, and the last year Jacob will be young enough to participate. To finish out the week, they always bring in a petting zoo which never fails to be a hit! Jacob looooved the large turtle they had this year, but was very wary of the giant bunny sitting to the left of him!

Six Years
Today Nathan and I celebrate six years of marriage! It's so incredible to look back at all the adventures we've had in the past six years and also think about the many years to come. We have certainly been through our fair share of life's ups and downs, but it's comforting to know that I'm not in it alone, but have my best friend along with me to face it all!

Party Rebel
Saturday morning, we went to a friend's birthday party. The party was princess dress up theme and I got Jacob a knight costume, but of course he wouldn't wear it! During the party, he was really shy and didn't really interact with any of the kids. After a little while, though, he did start playing with all the great toys, but was happy to be on his own. Our little loner...

Summer Playdate
One of the best things about summer is getting to have fun playdates with friends! This morning we headed to PJ and Katelyn's house for a fun outdoor playdate and Jacob could not have been more excited! Summer really snuck up on us, so we headed out shopping for swim apparel yesterday and found some great sets. Jacob was so excited to wear all his shark gear (his new obsession) and enjoy the time outside with his friends!

Update
The past few weeks have been so busy! We have really tried to enjoy the nice weather, before the miserable summer begins and spend time with friends and family. Now that the school year is officially over, it's time to enjoy the lazy days at home!
On May 26th, Jacob had his performance at school. His little class sung three songs and received awards! He received the award for Best Sense of Humor because he is always cracking up his friends and teachers! Mim and Poppa were able to join us for the performance and then dessert afterwards.

Jacob and Nana Christmas 2009

Unfortunately, Courtney's Grandma passed away the following day. She had been sick for some time and we all knew that she was in a much better place where she could finally breathe. She was an amazing woman, prayer warrior and example of how to truly follow Christ. We found out at the funeral that she had read through the Bible an amazing 10 times! Memorial Day weekend was not the happiest, but we did enjoy the time with family up in Kansas City.
The week after Memorial Day was the last week of school for Courtney and Jacob got to stay home with Daddy all week! He got to visit the dentist for the very first time and loved meeting Dr. Jeff!
Yesterday was the first official day of summer for Courtney! It was so much fun to spend the day at home with Jacob and we made sure to fill it with fun activities like painting, playing outside, games and more! At lunchtime, Jacob decided that he wanted to eat with his friend Tiny, so he set a placemat with food next to his!
After a wonderful, busy year, we are all looking forward to some down time! We hope this summer gives us a chance to see friends more often and enjoy the lazy days without a strict schedule!
