Happy Easter!!

Jacob was a very busy little boy getting ready for the Easter Bunny to come visit him for the very first time!! He even had to test out his new Easter basket to make sure it was sturdy enough to hold all of the goodies the Easter Bunny would leave him!

"Here comes Jacob Cottontail..."

After Jacob got dressed in his "Sunday best", he got to find his basket full of fun things from the Easter Bunny. Momma and Daddy helped the Easter Bunny know some things Jacob would like such as LuLu the Sleep Sheep, a soft organic bunny rabbit toy, a book, some organic bubble bath, and toys. Jacob just couldn't wait to dig in and start playing, but it was time to head of to Grandmommy and Grandaddy's house for Easter breakfast and to spend time with Uncle Davis and Aunt Amanda that were in from out of town, and his cousin Kaya.

After a yummy breakfast of milk, Jacob headed off to Grandmommy and Grandaddy's church for Easter service. He was a very sleepy little boy and even slept through all the praise music! Jacob really wanted to hear the sermon for the day, so he woke up just in time to hear it. He loved going to church with him family and celebrating Christ's resurrection. After church, Jacob got all buckled up to go to Mim and Poppa's house for Easter lunch. He got to sleep in the car and was nice and rested for even more pictures! At Mim and Poppa's, Jacob got to see his three cousins Drew, Ben, and Brady and got his third Easter basket from the Easter Bunny. What a lucky little boy!!

Our little family!

With Mim and Poppa

"Look Momma! The Easter Bunny brought me a book, a cool shirt and more toys at Mim and Poppa's house!!"

When we returned home from a very busy first Easter, Jacob took a nice long nap in his swing with LuLu and then had some time to play with his new toys. It was a wonderful first Easter!!!

Happy Three Month Birthday!!

What a busy month it's been! Now that Jacob is three months old, he can play with a lot more of his toys, roll over, and sleep through the night!! He's up to 11 lbs. 8 oz, so we're hoping the doctor will give us the okay to let him sleep through the night again. For those of you who don't know, we've had a bit of trouble getting Jacob's weight up, he dropped from the 21% to the 11% so we're now transitioning to formula and having to feed him more often. We go in to the doctor next week for a weight check, so keep your fingers crossed!!
Jacob is also beginning to develop such a sweet and silly personality! As he gets dressed in the mornings, he likes to nibble on our fingers or his buttons and then gives a priceless look as if to say "got ya!". We can't wait to see more of his silly side in the weeks and months to come!

Gentlemen Prefer Blondes

Well, it's official. Jacob has his first crush! We spent the day over at our friends Grant and Chelle's house along with their little girl Emory, who is two weeks older than Jacob. During our little photo shoot, our little prince charming decided to put the moves on Emory. He's so slick...

"Hi there stud muffin"

"I wonder if she'll notice my smooth moves?"

"There's no turning back now!"

"Ah...this is the life!"

Ladies and Gentlemen...He Rolls!!!

For the past three months, we've really worked with Jacob on Tummy Time. He is finally getting to the point where he doesn't scream immediately when you put him on the floor. These are a few pictures from a couple of days ago. Jacob just loves looking in his "Me in the Mirror" toy!!!

Today, we had a major event in our house! Jacob rolled over!!!! He had done this several times before this video was taking but I could never get a good shot. We try to do Tummy Time a few times a day to build up his neck muscles (it usually doesn't last long!) and this was taken at the very end of his time on the floor (hence the bad mood). We are so proud to see our little boy get stronger and do new things each and every day!

Best Friends

Last night, our good friends from church, Chris and Mary, came over with their little boy Bren. We are so blessed to have them as friends and since the boys are only two months apart, we're going through the same things in life right now!! It was a fun time of visiting and relaxing and the boys are starting to get used to one another.

This is a picture of Mary and I, probably in late August or early September. The boys were already friends!!
With our sweet little guys!

The boys in their matching Ralph Lauren outfits that they're going to hate us for one day. They weren't really sure what to think of each other at this point.
I look forward to watching the boys grow up together and be real friends and I'm sure there will be more matching outfits to come!

Let it Snow!!!

Jacob experienced his first snowfall the other day. He got all bundled up (thanks, Mim!) and went outside for a few short minutes. All was well until a cold gust of wind blew in his face (see the second picture).
