Family Resemblance???

Nathan's parents sent these pictures of him as a baby, he's roughly the age of Jacob right now. Do you see any similarities??

Jacob's Favorite Things

It's funny how our little boy is already developing a personality along with likes and dislikes. Here are just a few of his favorite things.

Dancing along with the music on his playmat
Jacob's favorite place to be is perched up high so he can look around at all the fun stuff!

Swinging with Mr. Quackers

Snuggling in a big, fluffy towel after a warm bath

Listening to Daddy's silly jokes

Happy Two Month Birthday!!!

It's hard to believe that our little boy is already two months old! Time has really flown by and we are enjoying every minute with our precious little Jacob.

Jacob had a very busy birthday. The morning started with the obligatory photo shoot with Mommy. Afterwards, he went to Mommy's school and met many of her work friends. He loved all the attention!!

In the afternoon, Jacob had his 2 month appointment with Dr. Frank including his s-h-o-t-s. Mommy was so anxious she couldn't eat lunch!!! He did really well and eased Mommy's mind for next time.

Jacob now weighs 10 pounds 6 ounces (21%) and is 23 1/2 inches long (66%).

After the incident on Valentine's Day, Jacob isn't too sure of Mommy's picture taking abilities!!

Blissfully unaware of the trauma to come.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Jacob's very first Valentine's Day started out like any other, a fresh diaper and a meal. Afterwards, Courtney put him in his Valentine's Day onesie and bib Mim and Poppa had bought him and prepared for a photo shoot. She soon discovered that he was not interested in sitting still and smiling for the camera! The photo shoot ended with a little drama, but all is well.

Note: No babies were injured in the making of this video.

Jacob's Big Day

Yesterday was a very busy day for Jacob! He was so excited to go to Mommy and Daddy's Sunday School class for the first time and bring his Bible Mim and Poppa got him for his dedication. Jacob will start going to Joyland, the baby program at church, after he has his shots but for now was happy to join Mommy and Daddy.

On Sunday evening, Jacob went to his very first Super Bowl Party. He loved seeing all his friends from church and enjoying the game with Daddy. He even had a special outfit to celebrate the occasion!!

The Nursery is Finished!!!

I know, I know. Jacob is five weeks old and we're just now posting pictures of his completed nursery! We have been waiting on one final item for his shelves above his changing table before posting pictures and it arrived in the mail today!!

It's hard to believe that when we moved into our home, this room had pink and white gingham wall paper below the chair rail and green paint above. As soon as we found out we were having a boy, we just knew our nursery would have to be a baseball theme. Courtney's compromise was that it was a tasteful, non-themey baseball theme!!! The nursery has turned out to be a wonderful, warm and cozy place to spend time with our little one that we hope he'll enjoy for a long time.

Happy One Month Birthday!!!

I can hardly believe that my little boy is one month old today! In one way, it seems like just yesterday and in another, it feels like ten years! The birthday boy had a pretty relaxed birthday filled with sleeping, eating, and pooping. He also played a little on his mat and in his swing.

Each month, we'll be taking a picture of Jacob in a 12 month sized onesie to see how he grows. This month was pretty funny since he's such a little peanut! Jacob is officially 8 pounds 8 ounces today, almost two pounds bigger than when he was born! Unfortunately, he's still too little for his 0-3 month clothing and is still wearing newborn clothes!

Chillin' in his nursery.

Strange to think that one day, this will fit!!
