Swim Lessons
Last week Jacob started taking private swim lessons with his cousin Brady. The first two days were pretty sketchy, he didn't want to even get in the pool to begin with! By day 3 he was much less afraid and went beyond just putting his head in the water and blowing bubbles, he actually swam all by himself without floaties! Since Mim and Poppa have a pool that we are frequently at and we go to the cousin's house to play, it was really important for Jacob to learn how to swim this summer. So far, he's doing great and having a blast with his cousin!!

Two Month Appointment
Two month stats:
Weight 11 lbs. 14 oz (51%)
Length 22 3/4 in (40%)
Head Circum. 15 1/2 in (33%)
Jonah did such a great job at his two month appointment yesterday! Unfortunately, our normal doctor was already booked so we had to see another pediatrician in the practice, but he was great. Jonah is doing really well and has even doubled his birth weight! Normally, they want babies to double their birth weight by four months, so we have an over achiever on our hands!! He has gone from the 6% to the 51% in weight! Yay Jonah!! After his shots, we got him nice and cozy and let him rest for the remainder of the day. I still can't believe our little peanut is 2 months old!!

Baby Dedication
This morning we ventured to church to have Jonah dedicated. It is so important that we make the promise not only to God, but to our church family that we will raise Jonah to know the Lord. I have such great memories of Jacob's dedication and wanted to enjoy the special occasion a second time around.
Mim, Poppa, Grandaddy, CiCi, Auntie Catherine, Uncle Andy, and cousins Drew, Ben, and Brady all joined us at church to watch Jonah's dedication and then came back to our house for lunch. It was a great time to spend with our family and we look forward to getting back to church regularly (it's been quite a while with the hospital stay in early March, bed rest and then a c-section!!). We love seeing Jacob grow in God's Word and look forward to the same with Jonah!

Take Me Out to the Ballgame
Nathan and Jacob had a little daddy/son outing to the Ballpark today to watch our beloved Rangers. Jacob was so excited to have some one-on-one time with daddy and see the Rangers play (he loves to watch them on tv with daddy as well!). It was a warm afternoon, so they made sure to drink lots of water but also enjoyed nachos and popcorn. What a fun way to spend the day!!!
