4th of July Recap

We had such a wonderful day celebrating our country's birthday yesterday! The day began with the Plano 4th of July parade with Mim and Poppa. Mim and Poppa live very close to the parade route, so we were able to just walk to the intersection where the parade would end. Jacob loved looking at all the cars and trucks, especially the fire engine!!

During the parade, they passed out American flags and Jacob wanted to hold all three at once!

After the parade, we went back to Mim and Poppa's house and spent the remainder of the morning and much of the afternoon in the pool. When Jacob woke up from his nap, he helped Poppa make homemade ice cream for our evening dessert and even got the first taste! Yum! We spent the rest of the day at Uncle Andy and Auntie Catherine's house playing, eating, and enjoying family. At the end of the day we were all pleasantly full from all the yummy food and worn out from a fun holiday!

18 Month Pictures

Here are just a few pictures from Jacob's 18 month photo shoot on Saturday. They all turned out so amazingly well, it was difficult to choose just a few to share! Party Animal

Yesterday, Jacob helped celebrate his friend Anna's second birthday at Gymboree in Plano. The afternoon began with a bit of trepidation as he took in all the sights, but he soon became comfortable and loved climbing and running around! It was such a fun afternoon and truly tuckered him out!!

Jacob's first birthday party was featured today on Polkadots and Pirates! Jess did an amazing job creating the decor for Jacob's party and I'm so excited that she's helping me with his second birthday party as well! Summertime Playdate

Jacob just loves when his friend Sam comes over to play! With temperatures already in the 90s by 10am, we decided to have fun in the water to stay nice and cool. The boys loved playing with the beach ball sprinkler, sand and water table (which we simply call the water water table!), and the swing set. They were certainly tuckered out after the morning outside!!
