Happy Easter!!

Jacob had a wonderful, fun Easter Sunday! He woke up nice and early to a special surprise from the Easter Bunny, a basket full of all sort of treats! Mr. Bunny left him a puzzle, some new books, a CD, and a new friend named Abe. Jacob was so excited to dig in to his basket of fun!!

The very first object Jacob went for was his new stuffed giraffe (have you noticed the giraffe pattern at our house??).
After an Easter breakfast and bath, it was time to get all dressed up and head to Grandaddy's house where the family ate before going to church together. Jacob was such a big boy, attending Big Church with Mommy, Daddy, and Grandaddy! He loved the music and enjoyed listening to the sermon!
When church was over, we all headed over to Mim and Poppa's house for a tasty lunch. Jacob was so surprised to see that the Easter Bunny had left him yet another basket full of fun things at Mim and Poppa's! He has some cookies and granola bars, bubbles, a book, shirt and so much more! What a fun surprise!!

"Look at all this fun stuff!!"

When we finished lunch, Jacob had lots of time to explore and play before it was time to go home. Another surprise awaited him when we returned...the Easter Bunny had hidden eggs all over the house for Jacob to find! I guess Mr. Bunny knew we would be too busy in the morning to search for the eggs, so he left them for us after the day's activities were complete. It was a wonderful way to end a lovely Easter day!!
"Hmmm...what are these???"
"I know I saw another egg around here somewhere!"

Friend or Foe?

Jacob paid a visit to the Easter Bunny today. Waiting in line he was perfectly happy to watch other children with the Easter Bunny, but things changed when it was his turn. Luckily, he didn't melt into total hysteria, but he became frightened enough that this was the best picture we could get! Maybe next year will be better...

Easter Eggstravaganza

Jacob had so much fun this morning at his very first Easter Egg Hunt! Although the weather was cool, overcast, and windy he had so much fun looking for eggs for his basket and running around Breckinridge Park in Richardson! He was a very lucky boy because he got to spend the morning with all of his grandparents as well!!

Jacob had help from Daddy and Mim finding eggs and putting them in his basket!

After hunting for eggs, it was time to run around with Daddy!!

Jacob did such a great job getting his face painted and the egg on his cheek even coordinated with the plaid in his pants!

Time for a snack and showing off his painted cheek.

Spending time with Grandaddy and Miss Canda

With Mim and Poppa

After the Easter Eggstravaganza, we all went to Cafe Brazil for a yummy brunch!

Backyard Fun

Now that the weather is nice and Jacob is feeling better, we've been spending a lot of time outside. Some of Jacob's favorite things to do are...

Swing on his playset...

Climb on the slide...

Run to the the house and smack it with all his might...

and pick "flowers".
